Five-minute Chocolate Cake for people with allergies

A delicious cake for those with egg allergies and lactose intolerance

Here is a chocolate cake recipe that is egg/milk free. Great for anyone who is egg allergic or milk allergic!


  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1 T. lemon juice (or 1 tsp. vinegar)
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 c. cold water


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix ingredients in order given. Pour batter into ungreased square 8 inch cake pan.
  3. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Frost or serve plain with ice cream. A double recipe is about right for a bundt pan, for a more festive looking cake.
